    POSITION DETAILS

    A new opportunity for a Customer Service Lead exists with University HealthCare Alliance (UHA), Stanford Hospital & Clinics' new medical foundation.  This opportunity is located at our Hayward office.

    The Customer Service Lead is responsible for assisting the Customer Service Manager with the daily activities relating to customer service, and be the go-to person in handling escalating calls related to patient disputes.  The incumbent will be responsible providing excellent customer service to clients seeking information from the Business Office, and general administrative duties related to patient billing that will facilitate improved revenue.  The Customer Service Lead will also be responsible for training new hires and train existing staff on new procedures or tools.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with physician practice in an outpatient setting is required.
    • Strong verbal, written, organizational, and customer service skills are required.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of medical coding (including CPT4, HCPCs, ICD-9), with EMR experience
    • Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, PPO, KMO, Commercial, Managed Care payors required.
